Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional in Georgia seeks a phlebotomist to join our patient-centered laboratory team in Athens. You will collect blood specimens, perform sample processing, and support monitoring tests in accordance with CLIA and Piedmont policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• No experience required.
• 1 year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Experience performing EKGs is preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification through a recognized body is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory standards.
• Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens according to Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
