Job summary

Logan Health Whitefish seeks a Lab Aide Phlebotomist to support the main hospital lab and outpatient draw center in Whitefish, MT. This day shift, full-time role covers 40 hours per week with rotating shifts.

Ideal candidates have phlebotomy experience or relevant coursework, CPR certification, strong organization and communication skills, and the ability to work independently as part of a team in a high-quality care environment.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience or college coursework in phlebotomy or science preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits good judgment in venipunctures.
• Recognizes when to ask for assistance on difficult collections.
• Explains collection procedures clearly to patients.
• Educates on improved collection and ordering procedures.
• Serves as contact for specimen status and processing updates.
• Escalates unresolved issues per department protocol.
• Accurately orders and cancels tests and ensures patient identification.
• Verifies patient ID prior to collection and labels specimens.
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance.
