Southeast New Mexico College (SENMC) in Carlsbad, NM, seeks an Adjunct Instructor for Phlebotomy to deliver high-quality instruction in clinical and laboratory settings and prepare students for phlebotomy certification and workforce readiness.

Under the Allied Health Department Chair, you will verify eligibility, oversee clinical learning, and ensure safe and ethical practice, while coordinating rotations and assessing student performance.

Qualifications

  • Current unrestricted phlebotomy certification or higher.
  • Minimum of two years recent clinical work as a phlebotomist in a phlebotomy lab environment.
  • Associate degree in a healthcare related field.
  • Minimum of one year of healthcare related teaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach phlebotomy theory and clinical practice.
  • Coordinate and assess clinical rotations and student learning.
  • Grade assignments and provide feedback to students.
  • Communicate with clinical partners and preceptors.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry standards.
  • May require evening or weekend instruction and 8–12 hours per week.
