Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our Sandusky, OH team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections across age groups, collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol testing, and accurately enter patient data for testing and billing.

You will also prepare specimens, maintain logs, and provide exceptional patient service while performing administrative tasks. Travel to additional sites as needed is required; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday between the scheduled hours of 5:00am to 5:00pm Saturday rotation 8:00am to 12:00pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience
• 6 months or more of experience working with pediatric patients

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years old
• Able to pass Ohio Department of Correction Background

Pay Range

$17.75 - $25.92 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Float Incentive

Additional $2.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
