Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomist Float at Grove City, OH, to perform blood collections for all ages and manage specimen handling with accuracy. Flexibility to travel to multiple sites is required.

Responsibilities include patient data entry, billing support, and delivering excellent patient service while maintaining logs and specimen integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent phlebotomy training or 3+ months experience.
• Certification in phlebotomy or completed training program is preferred.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when applicable.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Carry out administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when required.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday: 6:30am-9:00pm, Rotating Saturdays: 8:00am-1:00pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old

**Pay Range: $17.75 - $25.92 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Float Incentive: Additional $2.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
