Responsibilities include venipuncture, patient instruction, and maintaining clear communication with staff. This is a full-time position with benefits typical of a hospital-based lab setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or equivalent experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited phlebotomy program or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and confirm patient identity for safety.
• Research sample collection and handling requirements.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures for samples.
• Ensure proper sample labeling and handling per guidelines.
• Instruct patients on specimen collection procedures.
• Use LIS and EHR systems to manage orders and research criteria.
• Plan and organize workload to handle peak patient volume.
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
