Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations.
• Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture and skin puncture for inpatients and outpatients.
• Performs screening tests and records results related to phlebotomy.
• Maintains departmental policies, safety and infection control standards.
• Performs clerical functions in the testing area.
• Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
• Acquires electrocardiograms and participates in educational programs and meetings.
