Job summary

The American Red Cross in Kennewick, Washington is seeking individuals to join our team as phlebotomists to support blood collection at local sites.

No prior medical experience is required; we offer paid phlebotomy training and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). You will work with a team to transport and set up equipment, welcome donors, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver’s license is required.
• Physical requirements include lifting/pushing heavy weights and long hours; 60-inch minimum height for vehicle operation may apply.
• Basic computer skills are required; proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take the time to connect with donors and explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain a welcoming donor environment.
• Ensure blood collection meets goals, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setting up and tearing down equipment at donation sites; height requirement may apply for vehicle operation.
