Hours

Full Time (32 hours/week):

  • Monday 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 12:30 pm - 8:00 pm
  • Friday 12:30 pm - 6:00 pm
  • Rotational Saturday schedule
Summary
  • Provides patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, test ordering, and coordination of services. Capable of communicating effectively during high volumes or with complex patients. Requires clinical skills in phlebotomy, EKG, holter monitors, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection. Maintains competency skills.
  • Performs duties including:
    • Phlebotomy: venipuncture, specimen collection, patient verification, documentation, equipment maintenance
    • Registration: patient check-in, appointment scheduling, high-volume adaptability, service to inpatient and outpatient, communication with patients and providers, insurance verification, record management, patient education on costs and preparations, and collection of patient financial obligations
    • Secondary duties: clinical procedures like EKG, holter monitors, vital signs, and other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of educational requirements with ongoing competency evaluation
  • CPR Certification (American Heart Association) within 30 days of hire
  • One year of clerical, customer service, or administrative support experience in a customer-oriented organization
  • Proficiency in keyboarding, computer use, and office equipment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous phlebotomy or registration experience (training provided)
  • Epic or equivalent Electronic Medical Record experience (1 year)
