HOURS: Full Time (36 hours/week) Early day shift. 5:45 am- 1:15 pm Mon-Fri. Every 3rd Saturday rotation 5:45 am-Noon. Every 4th Sunday rotation 8:45 am-1 pm. No holidays. This position is in a high-paced environment registering for multiple modalities.

Summary:

  • Provides patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, ordering tests, and coordinating screening, diagnostic, physician office, and outpatient hospital services. Capable of coordinating and communicating effectively during increased volumes or with complex patients. Requires clinical skills in phlebotomy, EKG, holter monitors, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection. Maintains required competency skills.
  • Performs duties including:
    • Phlebotomy: venipuncture, specimen collection, validating patient identity, documenting procedures, maintaining specimen integrity, and adhering to protocols.
    • Registration: complete patient registration, adapt during high volumes, support inbound/outbound calls, verify insurance, and manage medical records.
  • Performs secondary duties such as additional clinical procedures and other assigned tasks.

Responsibilities:

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of educational requirements with ongoing competency evaluations.
  • CPR Certification (American Heart Association) required within 30 days of hire.
  • One year of clerical, customer service, or administrative support experience.
  • Experience with basic keyboarding, computer use, and office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous phlebotomy or registration experience (training provided).
  • Experience with Epic or similar Electronic Medical Record systems.
