Schedule: 1300-2200. Includes every other weekend rotation
Job Summary:
Responsible for performing phlebotomy and various technical, non-technical, and clerical functions. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
Completion of approved Phlebotomy program including clinicals with a minimum of 100 draws OR 6 months of related health care experience including direct patient contact. Phlebotomy experience in a clinical laboratory/phlebotomy setting, inpatient and/or outpatient draws, preferred.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
LICENSURE:
ASCP certification preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Ability to read and write necessary to comprehend and follow equipment operating instructions, IFUs and complete required documentation. Basic arithmetic calculations necessary to count instruments and complete count sheets are required. Basic computer, problem-solving and good communication skills are required.
