Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Clayton, NC. This role involves performing blood collections, patient service, and health-care support within a patient service center setting.

The candidate will collect specimens, enter data accurately, and assist with billing and administrative tasks. Weekend work is required, with a schedule including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts, and occasional travel to additional sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6+ months experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed; reliable transportation required.
• Other duties as assigned.
