Job summary

Labcorp in Shelby, NC is hiring a Phlebotomist to collect specimens and provide patient-focused service in a patient service center or client office. The role includes data entry, billing support and maintaining accurate logs, with a 7:30am–4:30pm schedule and occasional overtime.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or equivalent training/experience, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Color blindness test may be required.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide Superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
