Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our Yakima team in Washington. This role includes blood collection, specimen handling, and data entry across patient service centers and client offices.

Quotas include a WA license, 3+ months phlebotomy experience, and strong customer service skills. Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred to support diverse patients and locations.

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State phlebotomy license or license in progress with hire consideration.
• 3+ months of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood by venipuncture and capillary methods for patients of all ages.
• Collect samples for drug screens and other tests; ensure proper labeling and handling.
• Enter data accurately; assist with specimen processing and inventory as needed.
• Provide courteous, professional service to patients and healthcare staff.
• Travel to additional sites when required.

Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives. PAML a Labcorp company is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Yakima, WA.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday hours vary between 7:00am - 7:00pm; additional hours and rotating Saturday's as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Qualified to perform moderately complexity testing as defined by CLIA
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collecting payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Washington State-issued Phlebotomy License

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 or more months of phlebotomy experience
• 6 or more months of current or prior Labcorp experience in phlebotomy
• Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the WA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Be at least 21 years of age or older
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record
• Valid Driver's License
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM

PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Pay Range

$19.25 - $27.69 per hour.

Float Incentive

Additional $2.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement.
