Overview

Labcorp offers a Phlebotomy Trainee Program providing comprehensive training to become a Phlebotomist. We seek motivated entry-level team players eager to help others, grow their careers, and obtain phlebotomy training. The program allows you to work part-time as a Patient Intake Representative while studying for phlebotomy, with opportunities for promotion upon training completion.

Work Details
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with overtime and rotating Saturdays
  • Location: Meridian, ID
Benefits

Employees working 20+ hours/week are eligible for benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), PTO/FTO, Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Part-time employees under 20 hours may participate in the 401(k) plan only.

Responsibilities
  1. Complete paid Phlebotomy training program
  2. Observe phlebotomy collections to prepare for the role
  3. Schedule and greet patients
  4. Create a welcoming environment and assist with registration
  5. Enter patient data and verify insurance
  6. Collect specimens and verify test orders
  7. Monitor patient wait times
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer and typing proficiency, including alpha-numeric data entry
