Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Astoria, OR. This role supports test collection and patient services in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 3+ months of phlebotomy experience preferred. Certification from an accredited agency is acceptable in lieu of experience. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited agency if no work experience.
• Flexibility to work overtime and travel to additional sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Qualified to perform moderately complex testing as defined by CLIA.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
