Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations (e.g., FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP) to maintain high standards and facility compliance.
- Provide high-quality customer service and ensure a positive donor experience.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area to ensure a professional environment.
- Review and confirm donor identification and maintain confidentiality.
- Set up and prepare all equipment for venipuncture and plasmapheresis procedures.
- Label all units and samples accurately.
- Perform venipunctures and plasma collection adhering to quality and safety standards.
- Operate automated plasmapheresis machines, respond to alarms, and document exceptions.
- Monitor donor conditions to ensure safety and product quality.
- Maintain proper ratios and handle biohazardous waste responsibly.
- Perform regular calibration and maintenance of equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions to management.
- Manage inventory and replenish supplies as needed.
- Assist in training and troubleshooting machine issues.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- State-required certifications or licenses, if applicable.
- Minimum of three months’ experience in healthcare preferred.
- Ability to document training and perform venipunctures.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and interpret regulations and manuals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable and punctual with good attendance.
