The laboratories of IU Health offer some of the most comprehensive services in Indiana, operating 24/7 and performing over 19 million tests annually. Laboratory testing services are provided to hospitals and physicians across the country.
The Phlebotomist/Specimen Processor provides general laboratory services, including specimen collection via routine venipuncture, order entry, blood component preparation, specimen receipt, waived testing, pre-analytic processing, and related clerical tasks such as entering orders, confirming specimen validity, answering phone calls, and managing faxes. The role may also include patient and specimen registration and delivery of specimens. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, basic computer skills, and a high level of compassion.
