Job description

Job Summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Columbus PSC in Columbus, GA. Work schedule: Part‑time, Monday‑Friday 6:00am‑10:00am, no lunch break, possibility to rotate evenings and Saturdays.

Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
  • 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
  • 2 years or more of clinical experience in a hospital or physician office/lab.
  • 2 years or more customer service experience within healthcare.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4 years or more of phlebotomy experience.
Additional Job Standards
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
