We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a client office. In this role, you will deliver exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company positively. Additionally, you will have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which offers a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week). Hours and location may vary based on business needs and supervisor requests.

Work Location: Canton, GA

This position does not require COVID-19 vaccination.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  2. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  3. Accurately and promptly enter patient information.
  4. Process billing information and collect payments as needed.
  5. Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
  6. Maintain logs of patient and specimen information.
  7. Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  8. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
  9. Assemble equipment such as tourniquets, needles, collection devices, gauze, cotton, and alcohol, according to test requirements.
  10. Handle a wide range of patient cases confidently.
  11. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment following standards and legal regulations.
  12. Verify patient identity and communicate effectively with patients.
  13. Maintain refrigerator and freezer temperatures.
  14. Comply with legal phlebotomy regulations and perform routine blood drawing procedures.
  15. Travel to additional sites as needed.

Job Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency (preferred).
  3. Previous experience as a phlebotomist.
  4. Exceptional customer service skills.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to work independently or in a team.
  7. Comfortable working with minimal supervision.
  8. Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
  9. Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  10. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
