Job summary

Labcorp in Oxford, MS and Ripley, MS is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood samples from patients of all ages and to support the lab team with accurate data entry and specimen handling. You will travel between sites as needed and provide courteous patient service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with phlebotomy certification or completion of training; prior phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; phlebotomy certification or completed training preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs for patients and samples.
• Provide courteous patient service and support administrative duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when required.
