Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Rover to join our teams across Waukegan, Round Lake Beach, Libertyville, North Chicago and Zion in Illinois. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, collect specimens for drug screens, and enter patient data accurately while providing excellent customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and willingness to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months+ experience as a phlebotomist.
• Proven track record in customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Rover to join our team and working sites in Waukegan, Round Lake Beach, Libertyville, North Chicago and Zion.

Work Schedule:

Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, Tuesday/Thursday 8:00am-8:00pm, rotating Saturday 8:00am-4:30pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience with patients of all ages

Additional Job Standards:

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Phlebotomist will work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Pay Range: $17.75 - $24.50 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data

Phlebotomist's may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
