Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to perform venipunctures, capillary blood collections, and point-of-care testing under the supervision of the Phlebotomy Coordinator. You will help train phlebotomy students and new staff, integrating the department into the larger hospital workflow.

The Phlebotomist will follow established policies and quality standards while supporting service excellence across patient groups and departments.

Qualifications

• Performs venipunctures and capillary blood specimen collections according to CAP/CLIA standards and hospital policies.
• Assists in training phlebotomy students and new staff and supports department operations.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture, capillary blood collection, POCT, and related phlebotomy procedures.
• Supports training and guidance of phlebotomy students and new employees within the department.
