Job summary

CompuNet Clinical Laboratories, LLC is seeking a Full-Time Phlebotomist/Processor for the Evening Shift (2:30 PM–11:00 PM) with weekend and holiday rotation at Miami Valley Hospital North, Englewood, OH. The Phlebotomist/Processor collects, transports, and processes laboratory specimens, performing venipuncture and related duties. The successful candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent, with phlebotomy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy or laboratory science training/experience preferred.

• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures per procedures.
• Label and prepare specimens accurately for testing or transport.
• Complete requisitions and manage specimen receipt in computer systems.
• Deliver specimens to testing areas and maintain workflow.
• Maintain equipment and assist with problem-solving for draws and orders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and department policies.
• Conduct inventory checks, train new employees, and maintain safety.

Position Summary :

The Phlebotomists/Processor collects, transports, and processes laboratory specimens.

Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures according to departmental procedures.
• Accurately label and prepare specimens for testing or transport.
• Complete requisitions and manage specimen receipt using computer systems.
• Deliver specimens to testing areas.
• Maintain equipment and assist with problem-solving related to patient draws and orders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate standards, and departmental policies.
• Conduct inventory checks, train new employees, and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Some experience or training in phlebotomy or laboratory science is preferred.

Safety & Physical Demands:

• Ability to walk 5-7 miles daily and stand for entire shift.
• Exposure to biohazard substances and hazardous chemicals.
• Adherence to safety, ergonomic, and health policies.
• Compliance with PPE requirements in lab or biohazard areas.
• Completion of required safety training and health evaluations promptly.
• Proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety hazards, promoting safety awareness.
