Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center. The role involves providing excellent customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and representing the company.

The position requires phlebotomy certification or training, ability to collect specimens across age groups, and accurate data entry. Travel to other sites may be needed and a comprehensive benefits package is available.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or training must be from an accredited agency.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.

Benefits

• Employees scheduled 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off or flexible time off, tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan.
• Employees scheduled less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary are eligible only for the 401(k) plan.
