Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is seeking a Phlebotomist PRN to join our laboratory team. You will obtain and prepare specimens, perform venipuncture and capillary collections, and ensure accurate labeling and handling of samples for analysis.

Under supervision, you will verify patient identity, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain a safe, clean work environment while assisting with related lab duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy practice including venipunctures and capillary sticks.
• Excellent verbal communication with patients and staff.
• Able to multi-task and stay detail oriented.
• Efficient and accurate in performing skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and prepare specimens for analysis.
• Collect venous and capillary blood samples using multiple techniques.
• Receive, process and distribute specimens and paperwork.
• Maintain patient identification and safety procedures.
• Wear PPE and follow supervisor instructions.
