• Monitors patient condition during and after collection to ensure safety.
• Documents specimen collection in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Assists with clerical tasks including filing, data entry, and managing patient records.
• Ensures compliance with infection control and safety protocols in all patient interactions.
• Responds to inquiries regarding laboratory services from patients and staff.
• Participates in training, quality assurance, and continuing education as required.

Job Summary

This role involves preparing specimens for laboratory testing, maintaining work areas, and adhering to infection control protocols. The Phlebotomist interacts with patients professionally and provides accurate information regarding collection procedures.
