Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital is seeking a phlebotomist to perform blood sample collections and clerical duties. The ideal candidate will have training in phlebotomy, possess strong interpersonal skills, and be able to support a collaborative healthcare environment.

Pursue your passion for caring with Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville, North Carolina. The smallest of Duke Health's four hospitals at 123 beds, it offers a comprehensive range of medical services, including 24-hour emergency care, cardiology, orthopedics, women's services, and surgical specialties.
Performs venipunctures, heel sticks, and finger sticks to obtain blood samples for testing purposes. Properly identifies patients and follows procedures for collection of specimens. Ensures that all information from the blood collection of specimens is entered into the laboratory computer system, including time drawn, time received, and proper collector's initials. Collects chain of custody urine drug screens for pre-employment, post-accident, and just cause cases using proper collection procedures as set forth by NIDA. Performs duties at the laboratory front desk, answering phones, and performing clerical duties. Performs other related functions as assigned by the MT/MLT on duty or the Laboratory Administrative Director.

Completion of a formal training course in phlebotomy procedures from an accredited school or training program is preferred.
One year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
Phlebotomy certification is preferred but not required.
