Job Summary: Perform phlebotomy procedures to obtain specimens for laboratory testing, transport, process, and perform clerical duties as necessary. Reports to: Lead Phlebotomist, Lab Manager, and Laboratory Director.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• Greet patients and instruct them in specimen collection.
• Draw blood via finger sticks, heel sticks, or venipunctures, and collect other specimens.
• Accurately label specimens and enter data into the computer.
• Prepare samples for various laboratory departments.
• Assist with clerical duties, including answering phone calls.

Licensure/certification/registration:

• HR diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience required, or certification through a clinical program may suffice.
• Acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Skilled phlebotomy technique; BLS within 30 days of hire.
