Medical Associates is looking to hire a PRN Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team!

Schedule:

The phlebotomy department covers hours Monday - Friday from 6:30am to 5:30pm, with Saturday rotation from 7am to 5pm and/or Sunday rotation from 8am to 5pm. PRN staff can select shifts based on their availability.

The Role:
  • Collect laboratory specimens from patients of all age groups and instruct patients for special laboratory testing.
  • Perform venipuncture, capillary finger sticks, heel sticks, and collect other laboratory specimens. Instruct patients on specimen collection and properly identify and label samples.
  • Access and create patient orders, and perform data entry of laboratory test results.
  • Provide backup for receptionist duties as required.
Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: From three months to one year of similar or related experience.

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential. The role involves personal contact with others inside and outside the organization, mainly for routine information exchange.
