Job summary

Saint Luke’s Primary Care in Independence is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team delivering high quality patient-centered care. This role is a full-time position with shift hours 8:30am to 5pm, based in Independence, MO.

The work includes phlebotomy as the primary duty, with the option to assist in rooming patients as an MA when needed. You will provide excellent patient experiences, manage patient flow, and maintain professionalism using the EMR system.

Qualifications

• 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross) required

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy procedures on patients.
• Assist in rooming patients as an MA when needed.
• Administer injections and coordinate vaccines.
• Assist providers with procedures.
• Utilize the EMR system and scan/download documents.
• Conduct telephone screening and cover front office tasks as needed

Provide an excellent patient experience by managing the flow of patients, providing excellent customer service, establishing rapport with patients and maintaining a professional demeanor.

Conduct Pre-visit plans, room patients and obtain vitals

Administer injections and coordinate vaccines

Assist providers with procedures

Utilize the EMR system and scan/download documents

Conduct telephone screening (with protocols)

Cover front office responsibilities as needed
