Job summary

Kingman Regional Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect and label blood samples from diverse patient populations, ensuring patient ID accuracy and clean technique. The role supports the Laboratory team and requires adherence to safety, quality, and customer service standards.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, LIS workflow, inventory management, and participation in required trainings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NHA/ASCP or other national phlebotomy certification preferred.
• BLS certification through AHA or ARC if working in inpatient/ED areas.

Responsibilities

• Properly obtain venous and capillary blood samples with correct patient identification and labeling across ages.
• Use the hospital LIS system to process samples, cancel specimens, and reprint labels as needed.
• Maintain phlebotomy areas and inventory, ensuring supplies are stocked and within expiration dates.
• Provide courteous patient care and be available for all scheduled shifts, covering additional shifts as needed.
• Care for electronic devices and complete trainings and CAP assignments as directed.
