Qualifications

• 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and collects specimens as ordered, with proper pre-authorizations where applicable.
• Maintains documentation in QA logs, equipment records and checklists.
• Maintains inventory and ensures viability of supplies for patient collection.
• Sends specimens to reference laboratories as needed.
• Processes orders and reports for lab testing.
• Maintains patient identification and correct labeling per policy.
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment; conducts waived tests per CLIA.
• Complies with OSHA, Universal Precautions and safety protocols.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
