You will provide customer service by answering technical questions and directing others to resources, while managing accessioning and processing to maintain specimen integrity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Familiar with computer and office equipment.
• Organizational and team skills.
• One year phlebotomy experience (preferred).
• Enrollment in phlebotomy certification class or completion of accredited phlebotomy course (preferred).
• Experience with laboratory information systems (preferred).
• Phlebotomy certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collection with proper patient ID checks and accurate labeling.
• Provide customer service by answering technical questions and directing others to resources.
• Manage specimen accessioning accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure accurate specimen processing to maintain specimen integrity.
• Perform billing and registration procedures accurately and efficiently to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others to optimize performance.
