Job summary

Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, part of the HCA Healthcare network, seeks a Phlebotomist to collect samples, register tests in LIS, and communicate results to care teams. The role supports lab operations and administrative tasks in a high-volume hospital setting.

Requirements include phlebotomy certification, one year of experience, and strong attention to detail. BLS certification and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required.
• One year of phlebotomy experience or equivalent training.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Computer skills and filing/clerical skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• BLS/BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples and body fluids for testing, including blood cultures and arterial samples for blood gas analysis.
• Register specimens and orders in LIS and prepare/label samples for testing.
• Communicate lab test requests and results to staff, departments, and physicians.
• Collect urine drug screens requiring chain of custody and breath alcohol when required.
• Assist with in-services or training, and support administrative duties in the lab.
