Job summary

Labcorp in Salina, KS is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 415 East Prescott, Salina, KS 67401. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm, with possible overtime.

You will perform blood collections for all ages, collect specimens for screens, enter patient data accurately, and travel to additional sites as needed. Must have high school diploma; phlebotomy certification preferred. Excellent customer service required.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 1+ year experience as a phlebotomist.
• Additional standards: Pass a color blindness test; strong communication and customer service skills; ability to work independently or in a team; overtime flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide excellent customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
