Job summary

MemorialCare Long Beach is seeking a Per Diem Phlebotomist to perform blood collection for health assessments in the Pathology department at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. The Phlebotomist PD also performs pre-analytic and analytic tasks under a California Licensed Supervisor and provides customer service in person and by phone.

Qualifications include a current California Phlebotomy Certificate or eligibility for certification, and 2+ years of venipuncture experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience performing venipuncture on hospital-based patients.
• Knowledge of specimen collection techniques, equipment, and handling.
