MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood collection in the Clinical Lab Triage department in Long Beach, CA on a day shift. This full-time role reports to a California Licensed Supervisor and involves venipuncture, specimen handling, and data entry.

The position requires 2+ years of venipuncture experience, knowledge of collection techniques, and a current California Phlebotomy Certificate or eligibility. Weekend and holiday rotation is included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of venipuncture experience in hospital-based populations.
• Knowledge of specimen collection techniques and handling.
• California Phlebotomy Certificate current or eligible for certification.

Responsabilités

• Perform blood collection activities for laboratory testing and health assessment.
• Ensure proper use of equipment and safety devices.
• Collect venipuncture and finger-stick specimens from adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
• Maintain accurate data management and documentation of results.
• Prepare and dispense quality blood components and aliquots according to regulatory requirements.
• Provide customer service via phone and in person.
