Job description

We are searching for a skilled Phlebotomist to join our dynamic healthcare team to work per diem/casual hours.As an integral part of our laboratory services, you will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients with precision and care, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. Your expertise will play a crucial role in aiding diagnoses and empowering the health of our community. JOB SUMMARY
The Phlebotomistis responsible for performing phlebotomy on all age groups of patients. They are also responsible for filing and distributing reports along with screening telephone calls for the department. They will assist in other non-technical duties in order to maintain smooth daily operation of the department.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with Phlebotomy training (NAACL guidelines)
  • At least 1 year of hands on experience with Phlebotomy in all ages
  • Basic secretarial skills with basic computer knowledge
  • Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Must be neat and professional in appearance and performance
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS:
  • OSHA CATEGORY I – exposure to blood and other infectious body substances.
  • Standing for long periods of time
