Job Title: Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative
Location: Edina, MN
Duration: 4-month Contract

Pay Range: $25/Hr
Shift/Time Zone: Central / 8am-4:30pm
Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is the face of our company to patients, providing support during health routines or health-related decisions.
- Draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
- Creates a trusting environment by explaining procedures clearly and drawing blood skillfully, safely, and accurately.
- Demonstrates leadership, process excellence, and confidentiality while focusing on accuracy of patient information.
- May be assigned to various locations such as doctor’s offices or patient service centers based on business needs.
- Performs daily activities accurately and timely under supervision, maintaining a safe and professional environment.
- Handles forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing per established practices.
- Verifies patient demographic info and signatures post-venipuncture to ensure proper labeling and identification.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
- Promotes a positive image and demonstrates organizational commitment to patients, clients, and staff.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Adherence to policies, safety, and dress code.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Superior customer focus and effective communication skills.
- Training location may vary based on trainer availability.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic preferred).
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience:
- At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
