Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Catawba, VA. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens for various tests, and ensure accurate data entry for patient information.

The role includes travel to additional sites as needed and a Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:30pm schedule. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or equivalent training, with preferred experience of 1 year or more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
