Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Warner Robins, GA. This is a 4+ months contract with the possibility of contract-to-hire. The role requires performing venipuncture, labeling specimens, and adhering to procedures for waived testing.

The schedule is Mon–Thu 8am–4:30pm, and Fri 8am–12pm with alternating Saturdays 8am–1pm. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, at least 3 years of phlebotomy experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Minimum 3 year of experience as a phlebotomist required.
• Active Driving License

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during the collection process.
• Accurately label specimens and complete requisition forms.
• Adhere to standardized procedures for waived testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results
• Properly handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity.
• Follow protocols for specimen transport and disposal
• Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed by healthcare providers.
• Apply electrodes and monitor patients during the procedure to ensure quality tracings.
• Prepare and verify manifests for specimens being sent to external laboratories or for transportation purposes.
