Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomist to join our team in Ocean Springs, MS. The role includes performing venipuncture and specimen collection for diverse tests, data entry, and providing excellent patient service.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training. Vaccination against COVID-19 is required or acceptable accommodations may apply. This position may involve travel to other sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months+ experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
