Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson, KS, is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist to obtain specimens and support laboratory testing. You will identify patients, collect blood, urine, and other samples, label specimens, and ensure proper safety and PHI privacy.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, be able to communicate effectively, complete color blind test, and hold BLS certification. Phlebotomy Technician certification preferred; E-Verify participates.

Qualifications

• Collects specimens for tests as requested by physician or provider.
• Identifies patients and labels specimens per laboratory policies.
• Maintains PHI privacy and safety during all procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collects specimens (blood, urine, feces) for tests.
• Labels specimens per policy and routes to Lab.
• Delivers specimens to appropriate section for testing.
• Maintains phlebotomy stations and supplies.
