Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Gilbert, AZ. The role focuses on blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques across age groups, handling specimens for various tests, and accurate data entry. You will provide excellent patient service and travel to additional sites as needed.

The position involves client-office work with potential for overtime, and offers opportunities for growth within Labcorp's global laboratory network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ years experience as phlebotomist preferred.
• 1+ year experience in Hormone Testing preferred.
• In lieu of work experience, certification/training from accredited agency required.
• Able to pass standardized color blindness test.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer service experience.
• Able to work independently or in a team; willingness to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis; maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients and support staff.
• Travel to additional sites when needed; handle administrative duties as necessary.
