Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic seeks a Phlebotomist to obtain blood specimens from patients of all ages using venipuncture and capillary techniques. You will process orders, maintain confidentiality, and follow lab procedures in a compliant environment.

The role requires excellent customer service, strong communication, and teamwork, with flexibility to work at multiple clinics as needed. Training and supervision available per policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy class preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; one year of phlebotomy experience optional if no class completed.
• Strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Collects laboratory specimens from patients of all ages using venipuncture or capillary methods.
• Processes orders and specimens according to protocol and maintains confidentiality.
• Utilizes information systems and demonstrates professional telephone etiquette.
• Adheres to OSHA, HIPAA, and company policies and conducts duties professionally.
• Follows rotation: regular attendance and holiday shifts as required.
