Job summary

Labcorp in Orland Park, IL is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused team. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens for tests, and ensure accurate data entry and patient service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include handling billing information, traveling to additional sites as needed, and maintaining logs with a commitment to quality and compassionate care.

Labcorp is seeking a part time Phlebotomist to join our team in Orland Park, IL.

Work Schedule/Locations

• Monday: 8:00am-6:00pm- Orland Park, IL rotating every other week
• Tuesdays/Thursday: 9:00am-3:00pm- Oak Brook, IL

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Pay Range

Pay Range: $17.50 - $24.50 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
