Compensation & Growth
  • Base Pay: $16.50 – $20.50 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist, a professional multi‑skilled person dedicated to assisting in all aspects of medical practice under the direct supervision and responsibility of a provider in a private medical practice setting. This position will start as a part‑time job for the first 3‑6 months and then transition to full‑time. Anderson Longevity Clinic® is a patient‑focused, cash‑pay longevity clinic dedicated to helping individuals optimize their health, vitality, and confidence through personalized, evidence‑based care. Our clinic specializes in hormone replacement therapy, medical weight management and weight loss, peptide therapies, advanced laboratory testing, and anti‑aging medicine, all delivered in a calm, supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional, compassionate, and ethical service in all interactions with patients
  • Hold and maintain Florida phlebotomy certification earned from an in‑person program
  • Hold and maintain any additional certifications required to meet local, state, or federal requirements
  • Maintain a clear, organized, and hygienic work area based on health and safety regulations and the guidelines of the medical institution
  • Appropriately use and maintain all technical equipment used to safely draw blood from patients
  • Explain the blood‑drawing process to patients and provide compassionate reassurance as needed
  • Apply professional knowledge and technical skills to safely draw blood using appropriate equipment
  • Provide post‑draw care, including dressing the draw wound
  • Accurately register and store blood in the correct environment
  • Accurately and promptly send blood samples to approved testing laboratories
  • Track blood samples and returned results diligently
  • Update patient records accurately
  • Answer patient questions regarding collection techniques and offer additional resources if requested
  • Participate in all sales initiatives, including suggestive sales techniques to explain the benefits of all blood screening procedures offered by the clinic
  • Complete all initial and future franchisor‑required training within the required timeframe
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned or outlined in the clinic operations manual
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Completion of Medical Assistant training required
  • Phlebotomy certification required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1‑3 years of related work experience
  • Certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants
  • Registered with the American Medical Technologists
