Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a qualified phlebotomy technician to join our satellite lab team. You will draw blood cultures, process specimens, and ensure proper labeling and handling across multiple locations, with training on LIS systems.

The role requires at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience, a high school diploma, and HIPAA knowledge. Schedule is Mon-Fri with occasional weekend shifts; pay ranges from $17.60 to $21.30 per hour, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification preferred (NHA/CLA).
• HIPAA knowledge and accuracy in specimen handling.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood cultures using aseptic technique.
• Process specimens and record data accurately in LIS.
• Prepare collection containers with appropriate preservatives.
• Collect and label samples for home collection as needed.
• Perform Urine Drug Screens and H. pylori Breath tests per SOP.
• Notify physicians of critical results.
• Train new staff on lab policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper patient check-in at satellite labs.
• Travel to satellite locations as needed.
