Job summary

Labcorp in Claremore, OK is seeking a phlebotomist to perform blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages, while delivering compassionate care. In this role you will enter patient data accurately, process billing information as needed, prepare specimens for testing, and travel to additional sites when required.

Superior customer service is essential. Required qualifications include a high school diploma and 1 year or more phlebotomy experience;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year or more phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program preferred.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification must come from an accredited agency.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
